All Bundled Up!!!

We went on a nice Fall Walk with Mana & Papa Skiver.  Since we live in AZ we were very unprepared for the cold temps.  Good thing Ellie had some of Evan's old Snow Gear.  It was a little big (as you can see in the pix), but it sure did the trick.  He was so bundled up you almost couldn't see his face :)
Sniffing Markers

Sam LOVES to smell things!  So this afternoon we were exploring my smelly markers.  Apparently, he found this quite entertaining.  I was laughing SOO hard too!!!!!  Check it out!

***Don't be alarmed.  These markers (Mr. Sketch) are NON-Toxic and
totally safe.  That's my Disclaimer!!!

Thanksgiving '08

We just got back into town after a wonderful 8 days home!!  It is always hard to come back, but the 77 and sunny thing is sure nice!  We are still trying to recover from all the fun and festivities. It's fair to say that
"the holiday was hard on all of us".  More pix to come soon....

7 Months!!!

Sam turned 7 months this past Sunday. Unbelievable...He has been soo much fun, and happy!  The sleep is back on track and we are all better for it!  We are enjoying each day and all the milestones and new stages.  It's crazy how strong and durable he is now.  And he has really been developing a great sense of humor.  He loves it when we act silly...He sure fits in well!!

I included the above pix for 2 reasons!!

1. You Gotta love a baby's profile (awww)
&
2.  Being that we live in AZ (and it has finally cooled down) we are now in the final dash to wear most of our summer outfits.(this still had the tags on it this morning!) I admit
I absolutely went overboard in the Clothes Dept.  LIVE & LEARN...
GREEK FESTIVAL

Last Saturday we went to Scottsdale's annual GreekFest.  It was in a really neat part of town, with tons of delicious foods to choose from.  Being that we are both very impatient people, who don't love crowds.  We walked around for 15 minutes and instead of waiting in the ridiculous lines, we opted to drive to a Greek Restaurant in Tempe!  We probably should have saved ourselves the hassle and skipped the festival altogether...OH WELL!

*As I'm looking at these pix it is very humorous that ALL our pictures are Sam and only one of us.  We really need to get better about getting FAMILY shots.

WANNA PLAY??

The Doggy is still the most fascinating thing in the house.  Today the 2 of them were playing side by side.  They both had their balls and were quite entertained.  This went on for 10 minutes.  Very Sweet...
IT'S OFFICIAL...

Sam is officially sitting up with ease!!  Although he has been working on it for weeks, he was still a bit wobbly.  Now he can actually sit and play. Now that his core is strong enough, he wants nothing to do with laying down, or being put in his chair.  He just wants to SIT!  It's a whole new world at a whole new angle.

NEW 'DO...

Sam has the silliest hair ever!  It really just wants to stick up all the time.  So today we combed it into a "mohawk" and it stayed all Day!!!  We figured if it sticks up anyways, we might as well go Big!  Plus, he looks so darn cute with it :)

WHAT A MESS....
Sometimes I have to wonder if he is actaully eating any food at all!!  Or if he is just smearing and spitting it everywhere.  Eating Solids has been hysterical. He is so expressive about his likes and dislikes.  It's official...Green Veggies are an absolute NO!  He has now begun gagging and dry heaving!  Takes after his Momma...:)  We have decided not to push something that he visibly dislikes. Pick and choose your battles, Right?  He does love all fruits, especially Prunes!  Weird, I know!  But, they keep him extremely "regular".  He also still likes Squash, Carrots & Sweet Potatoes...

NANCY

We are SOO lucky to have the best neighbor in the world!!  Nancy deserves some sort of award for selfless & kind acts. She has been watching Sam for the past few months.  And because of her I have been able to maintain my sanity!!!  I really don't know what we would have done without her help and support.  Sam loves her and knowing you have an experienced, safe, trustworthy person watching your child is truly priceless.  Thank You Nancy...We appreciate you!

Halloween '08

GYMBOREE

Sam just moved up in our Gymboree classes to the 6-12 month class.  He and Zoe (pictured above) are the youngest in there.  It's amazing to see all the babies just a few months older.  They are ALL over the place.  Crawling, Scooting, some even walking.  Last week they had a Halloween Celebration.  Very Cute!!
