NYC Visit

The last week of May, Justin and I went to visit Matt in NYC.  He and Amanda were the best hosts.  Friday Night we met Abbey and John in Bryant Park, followed by dinner down by the Brooklyn Bridge.  Saturday we had a great brunch, explored Central Park, Walked A Ton, and ate dinner in Little Italy.  It was refreshing to be in such a vibrant city!!  It's nice to be able to visualize where Matt is "living" and what his life looks like!  Thanks for such an amazing weekend Matt & Amanda.  We will be back (at some point?!?!?)

Sesame Street

Lately Sam has been crawling into his Big Boy chair to watch Sesame Street.  It is too cute.  Of course he looked at me the minute I tried to sneak a picture.  But, you get the idea...

Memorial Day at Deep Lake

We got to the cottage on Friday afternoon and it was beautiful!  We spent the weekend relaxing, reading,soaking up the sun, taking lots of boat rides & EATING(ughhh)!! . Gotta love Memorial Day. Skivers and Robarges came up on Sunday afternoon and we all went to the Beach Bar....Heaven!!!

Sam is 100% crazy about his Daddy...who can blame him?  Justin is an amazing Dad, and Sam totally adores him.  They went for a walk last week, and I thought this shot was just too cute!!!   

Mother's Day

This year we were able to spend Mother's Day with our Family.  We had a get together over here with Cornhole, Sangria and delicious food.  It was a beautiful Spring day and it was so great to be surrounded by our loved ones.  Sam got me a sweet card, and my favorite perfume (Dolce & Gabana Light Blue).  What a Sweet Boy!!!

Spending time at the Cottage

  We spent a nice weekend up at the cottage while Matt & Amanda were in town.  Lots of walks, The Beach Bar, Games & of course boat rides.  It was so relaxing and actually felt like a vacation!  It's hard to believe we can actually drive to the cottage now, as opposed to flying in!! Yay!! Another perk of being home.

Sam's First haircut...

It was really hard to admit that Sam needed his first haircut! I was very emotional/hesitant to cut off any of that fine, perfect, untouched baby hair!  But he really needed one!  You couldn't even see his pretty eyes.  Sabrina (who started cutting my hair at age 5) called dibs!  Sam loved the attention and looked adorable afterwords.  I'm thinking he could already use another one.  Man, does he have alot of hair!!! (I am still amazed at how blonde his hair is...that's the color I am trying to acheive month after month, lucky boy)

1st Birthday Party!!

For those of you who have yet to see our new house, here are a few shots!  We did our best to get it all together for his Birthday Party!  We still have many boxes hidden in the attic & basement...one thing at a time.  I was amazed at how much work it really was!  Our parents always made it holidays/birthdays seem so effortless.  We spent days preparing, organizing and cleaning, but it was totally worth it!  We had 23 people over to help Sam celebrate.  He got lots of great gifts and loved every minute of it.  Ellie was nice enough to make the Birthday cake, which was delicious and beautiful!  Thank you to all for your gifts & love.

Coloring Easter Eggs with GG

All 4 grandkids were in town the weekend of Easter.  They got to spend the morning coloring eggs with GG Reynolds.  What a nice memory for her and all the kids.  I love how she is holding court over her eager students!

1 year old...

It's amazing that our little baby is now much more like a little boy!  Sam turned 1 on April 9, and we spent the day surrounded by family.  We had lunch with Daddy, took a walk at Wildwood with Grandma, and then had dinner with Mana, Papa, GG, Ellie & Evan. The weather was beautiful, and we were very nostaligic and sentimental that 1 year can go soo quickly.  Sam is such a gift, and we are so lucky to have such a happy, sweet, smart, beautiful son!  He is really so much more than we could have ever imagined!  We love you Sam...
