Halloween 2010

Okay...so, I'm all for the kids getting their "use" out of their costumes. But, this got a bit ridiculous. When you add in Boo at the Zoo, Mom's Group Halloween Party,  & Downtown Pburg Trick or Treating!!  These kids were living in their costumes.  And we all know they can't dress themselves...so, day after day we went through the tedious process!!!  Ahh, what a Mom won't do for her kids.  They both looked soo cute, and had soo much fun.  Sam LOVED being a shark, and Kendell was the cutest Strawberry Fairy I've ever seen. We had such a ball reliving Halloween with our kids...!!

Matt & Amanda 10-2-10

Matt & Amanda's wedding weekend was absolutely perfect. There were lots of laughs, great meals & memories, and of course the special union of such an amazing couple.  It was a jam packed weekend, and such an amazing celebration. Every detail was perfect (and I meant perfect), and the Bride and Groom both looked so amazing.  We feel so lucky to have been such an important part of your special day.  Congrats to you guys, and welcome to the family Amanda.  We Love You Guys!!!

We had soo much fun this Fall!  There is always something fun going on, and the kids LOVED it.  We visited Gust Bro. Farm, an apple orchard, Some Fall festivals....just to name a few.  We had such a mild Fall (weather wise), so we were happy to spend the time outside enjoying.  Here are a couple of the thousand pix I must have taken...

Fall Fun at the Lake

We are so lucky to live close to the cottage. The kids absolutely LOVE it, and so do we!  There are always endless things to do.  The kids love boat rides, splashing in the water, going on walks, riding the golf cart, having bonfires, and there's always hidden lake gardens, and the Beach Bar.  Even though it's only 50 miles away, it feels like another world.  We always feel totally relaxed, and "on vacation" whenever we go!  Here's to Deep Lake.

Kendell: 7 months!!!

Kendell, Baby K, Munch, Kendell Bug, Kendellina, Munch-a-Me, Little Momma, The list goes on and on...!  I swear this girl has more nicknames than anyone I know!  Kendell turned 7 months last week, and is such a happy, sweet and cuddly little honey.  She is our little champion when it comes to sleeping (including naps).  It's amazing how easy she has become. This coming from a Mom who is finally catching some ZZZZ's. In all seriousness, I cannot believe that she hasn't always been here. She was made specially for us, and fits in perfectly.  We love you Baby Girl.

Off to School

We decided to enroll Sam in a Pre-Pre-School...1 day a week (Thursdays).  He goes from 9-11:30pm, and LOVES it.  It's so cute to see all the adorable little 2 year olds.  They are all so sweet.  Today, when I went to pick him up they were all singing in a circle and holding hands.  Ahh...the innocence of youth.  Here are some pix from his first day. It seriously blows my mind that Sam is now our "Big Boy"!  How can that be??  I have to say I remember this day (in the video) like it was yesterday.  What a fun loving boy we have. He is still so giggly, happy, and seriously loves life!!  As I was sitting here I'm getting really emotional about Sam. Time seems to just fly right by!  He has been SUCH a joy to parent!  I know we are SOO lucky in so many ways.  We love you Sammy Boy.

AVALON 2010

So...we did it!!! Our first official "road trip"! It could not have gone any better. We made amazing time, and the kids were GREAT!! Who knew? We spent 1 week at the Jersey Shore (not the MTV kind), but the more reserved, family place. The Skiver Family has been going there for 40 some years, and for good reason! We had the best time!! Lots of beach walks, arcade visits, ice cream, amazing company, great food. (donuts, donuts and more donuts!!) The list goes on and on! Sam is officially in love with THE BEACH, and and had soo much fun with all his cousins (grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents). We are already counting the days until next year!!

In just 3 short weeks my baby brother is getting married! We are all so excited that he has met his match, and is marrying his best friend, and better half. Justin and I will both be standing up for them, and are so honored to be a part of their day! We Love You Matt & Amanda....Here's to October 2nd!!!

A Crazy, Busy Life....

This Summer we have had so much going on!! Lots of amazing things, but we never stop moving. Welcome to a life with kids. We have done so much these past couple months. We had an amazing 4th of July up at the cottage. We visited Put in Bay with the Kids. We have spent countless hours at the pools and parks, and we are headed to "the Shore" this week. The above pictures are some of our favorites amidst all the fun.

Kendell is now 6 months old. She is sitting up, sleeping like a champ, and developing into such a sweet little thing. Sam is on the go, go, go. He loves playing cars, swimming, playing with his buddies, and teasing his sister (yes, it has already begun). He NEVER stops talking and is so observant. We have to watch EVERYTHING that comes out of our mouths.

Both kids continue to amaze us with their unique personalities, and innocence. They are both such miracles, and we know we are SOO blessed.

OUR PAPA....

On July 12, our Papa left us!! It was such a painful loss for all of us, but he sure left behind a wonderful legacy. He lived for 91 amazing years, and left behind an equally amazing and loving family. He was such a loving and family oriented guy, and he will be SOO missed. I feel soo fortunate that he was able to spend lots of quality time with both our kiddos. They have no idea how lucky they are too! He was the patriarch of this family, and taught us all so much about love, family & life. We know that we have another amazing angel watching over us. We Love You Papa.
